The Perfect Grilled Burger

A great burger starts with great meat. Look for ground beef that's at least 80% lean and 20% fat—anything leaner will result in a dry, crumbly burger, while too much fat will make your burgers greasy. Once you've found the perfect beef, it's time to shape your patties. Use a light touch when forming them—you don't want to compact the meat too much or your burgers will be tough. Season your patties generously with your favorite beef seasoning, then make a small indentation in the center of each one with your thumb. This will help them stay flat as they cook.
Get the grill nice and hot, then use a spatula to gently place your burgers on the grates. Resist the urge to flip them too often—once or twice should be plenty. And remember, if you're using a gas grill, keep the lid closed as much as possible to maintain temperature and prevent flare-ups.

Once your burgers are cooked to perfection, it's time to start assembling your sandwiches. On a toasted bun, add your favorite toppings ( we like cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles), then dig in!
Delicious Sides
No barbecue is complete without some delicious sides to go along with it. Our personal favorites are this creamy coleslaw and these irresistible oven-baked potato wedges.

For the coleslaw, you'll need:
1/2 head green cabbage, shredded
1/2 head red cabbage, shredded
3 carrots, grated
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon celery seed
Salt and pepper to taste
To make the dressing, simply whisk all of the ingredients together in a bowl until well combined. Add the cabbage and carrots and toss until evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving—the longer it sits, the better it tastes!

For the wedges, you'll need:
3 large baking potatoes
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon of your favorite everything seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Cut each potato into 8 wedges and place them in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with seasoning, then toss until evenly coated. Spread the wedges out on a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper (for easy cleanup) and season lightly with salt and pepper if desired. Roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy around the edges. Serve hot!
Whether you're planning on cooking for a crowd or just spending some quality time with family and friends, we hope these tips help you throw an unforgettable barbecue bash! Happy grilling!
